This publication is aimed at the navigator using astro-navigation and provides the optimum selection of stars for a three-star fix. It contains the following information:
- altitude and true azimuth values of seven selected stars for the complete ranges of latitude and hour angle of Aries.
- tables for selected stars for all latitudes, calculated for the epoch of 2025, it is intended for use until 2029.
- the altitude to 1′ and true azimuth to 1° for the seven stars most suitable for finding your position with a sextant, for the complete range of latitudes and hour angles of Aries.
